Brilliant explanation of the Gospel of Thomas. I read the Marvin Meyer's translation of the Gospel of Thomas with its response by Harold Bloom. That is a brilliant book too, and this book by Osho generally provides plausible insights into the Gospel (which is written in parable form quite often and can be difficult to follow for the general reader).In some places the two depart, but Osho interprets in a convincing way the sometimes difficult sayings of the man Jesus. Whether or not you accept the Gospel of Thomas contains the actual words of Jesus, this book is a critical, witty, irreverent and at times sardonic account of religion, and is highly recommended. You won't find the Gospel of Thomas in the New Testament, and Burton Mack explains why in his book Who Wrote The New Testament?This book, like the gospel itself in Meyer's translation, is recommended if you have ever wondered what the kingdom of heaven is like. It also contains some hilarious jokes.What I dislike are Osho's irrelevant opinions about thinkers such as Freud and Jung whom he clearly dislikes. Likewise he describes New York as "neurotic" as if it's a terrible place. His opinion, irrelevant to the interpretation of the gospel, and I disagree. Also, he suggests one must learn with a master to become enlightened. Why? Read Tribe's book for a different view. Nor does the gospel suggest this- in fact, if the kingdom of heaven is within you, you are not going to find it through anybody else. So I think Osho's claim is contradicted by the gospel itself.Also, contains some hard to swallow opinions like God has died into this world. So, God is dead? No, I don’t think so. The point of the Gospel is that God is not some entity, like an old man with a beard who is in space, but exists within you. That’s something Jesus says, and is very well explained in two excellent books: The Master Key System by C Haanel and US Anderson, Three Magic Words.But, all in all, an excellent book.I bought this book in kindle edition and read on my iPad. Formatting and readability is excellent.

Unbelievable exegesis!! Deeper insight on Christ than most Christians authors. However one needs to understand who Osho is and where he's coming from... If you are a closed minded Christian this book is not for you. If you are willing to do what the Apostle Paul says, TEST ALL THINGS HOLD FAST TO WHAT IS GOOD" then you will be blessed. But be warned, you are not going to be the same if you listen or read any of Osho's books!! If IF YOU ARE A CHRISTIAN AND DO NOT KNOW THE BIBLE THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR YOU... YOU MAY LOSE YOUR FAITH OR THE LEST WILL BE VERY CONFUSED, BUT IF YIU ARE EXPERIENCED GO FOR IT.

I am rereading this book. It is not that I did not understand what I had read the first reading.It is just that this information is life changing really life changing, The question I keep asking myself is am I ready to take the jump this leap. If I chose this it is not a slow process I have to decide to drop all the non- sense not slowly but just drop it all,

If you think you know Jesus through the standard Christian doctrine, think again. This book is an amazing exposition on the teachings of Christ from the gnostic gospel of Thomas. It has opened my eyes to the full depth and brilliance of the heart, nature and love of Christ that for whatever reasons, is not found the King James.

Great book that will make you question all of life’s great mysteries. If you are a critical thinker ready to move past the lies of society, this is a great book for you. If you want to be a sheeple and blindly follow the ways of old, you will not like this book. Highly recommended to shift your thinking to examine your own consciousness!

I read my first copy of this book until it fell apart over the years. This copy is horrible. It is so stiff I have to fight with it just to hold it open. It is so cheaply done. Shane on Osho International

Life changing. If you consider yourself a spiritual person, or if you call yourself a follower of Jesus, you will not truly understand Christ out the Christ mind until you tread these mental waters.

The mustard seed by Osho is in my opinion the most accurate account of Jesus' true message, Jesus was indeed a revolutionist in the world but the world of the inner and not the outer.This book based is on the writings from the Gospel of Thomas, Osho explains the sayings of Jesus in a language that could be understand by todays people. The Gospel of thomas is of course not included in the bible.Jesus' basic sayings was that of meditation, inner silence, awareness and transformation of the mind to the no-mind state. The kingdom of heaven is already here within each and every one of us and not somewere in the future or outside ourselves.This book is not based on any religious ideology but rather on personal transformation of human consciousness.If you have an open mind and are able to receive Jesus' message the way it was ment to without any distorted interpretation from an organized religion then I highly reccomend this book, it will expand your awareness and expansion of awareness is what will lead us to inner transformation and find that the kingdom of god is, has, and will always be within us.
